Lottie
Terms of service
Last updated September 8, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Lottie for using calllottie.com, the receptionist builder, demo calls, and any receptionist you deploy with us. By creating an account, booking a demo, or subscribing, you agree to them.
The service
Lottie answers phone calls for your business with an AI assistant built from your website and the instructions you give it. It can take messages, book appointments, send texts and emails, and transfer calls. It is software, not a person, and it can make mistakes. Review what it does, keep its instructions current, and do not rely on it for anything where a mistake could cause serious harm.
Demo calls
Demo calls are role-play with the details you provide. Nothing is booked at your business, nothing is sent to your customers, and nothing is charged. You must give us a real name, email and mobile number that belong to you, and you consent to receiving the demo call, and any follow-up call or text you request, at that number.
SMS terms
Program: Lottie account texts. When you opt in by entering your mobile number on calllottie.com and confirming it, Lottie sends you transactional text messages about your account: a verification code, confirmations of demo calls and appointments, messages the receptionist took from callers to your business, and texts that a caller asks for during a call (for example a booking link or address). We do not send marketing texts.
- You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text STOP to any message and we send one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. After that you will not receive further texts from us. To start again, text START or add your number in your dashboard.
- If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance, or email hello@calllottie.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. Message frequency varies. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.
- For questions about your privacy, read our privacy policy. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Plans, billing and minutes
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Current plans: Front Desk: $297 a month with 500 minutes, then $0.35 a minute; Growth: $497 a month with 1,000 minutes, then $0.30 a minute; Website + Receptionist: $997 a month with 1,500 minutes, then $0.25 a minute. Minutes are counted on connected calls and rounded up to the next minute. Unused minutes do not roll over. Overage is billed at the end of each period. Prices can change with 30 days notice by email; the new price applies at your next renewal.
There are no free trials. A phone number is provisioned only after a successful payment. You can cancel from the dashboard at any time; your receptionist stays on until the end of the paid period and there are no refunds for partial months.
Phone numbers
Numbers we provision for you are licensed to you while your subscription is active. If you cancel, the number is released 30 days after your last paid period unless you ask us to port it out first. Forwarding your existing number to your receptionist is your responsibility and may carry charges from your carrier.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information and keep your receptionist's instructions truthful. You are responsible for what it tells callers on your behalf.
- Comply with telephone, recording and marketing laws where you and your callers are, including consent to record where required and TCPA rules for any outbound calls or texts.
- Do not use the service for emergency services, medical or legal advice, harassment, fraud, spam, or anything illegal.
- Keep your sign-in credentials safe. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Content and data
You own your business content, call recordings and transcripts. You give us permission to use them to run and improve your receptionist. We handle personal data as described in our privacy policy. You give us permission to read the public pages of the website you provide.
Website builds
On the Website + Receptionist plan we design, build and host a website for you. You own the content you provide and the finished site's copy and images made for you; we keep ownership of our templates, code and tooling. Hosting is included while you subscribe. If you cancel, we hand over an export of the site.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running around the clock but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Phone carriers, AI providers and hosting partners can have outages outside our control. If the service is unavailable for more than 24 hours in a month because of us, we credit that month's fee on request.
Disclaimer and limits
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for missed calls, incorrect answers, lost bookings, or indirect or consequential damages.
Termination
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses callers or our team, or puts the service at risk. You can close your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing us.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of California, and disputes are handled in the state or federal courts in Alameda County, California. We may update these terms; we post the new date above and email account holders about meaningful changes.
